about The life of angels

Over 110 years old, The Life of Angels began as a coffeeshop for the men of the villages to gather, have their coffee, talk, play tavli and play traditional Karpathian Music.

 

Built by Zoedia Karavias in the early 1800s, it is a one of a kind building in all of Karpathos. The grape vine in the upper "avli" is over 85 years old. We are committed to preserving our family's history all the way to the root!

 

For many years we have fostered a close relationship with the farmers in Pyles and Afiartis and produce from organic farms in Crete as well as the Shepherds of Olympus and Saria. Many people ask why the tomato sauce isn't red?! Well no colorings or additives are used and our salsa is that natural light pink! This is 

 

Serving traditional Greek Cuisine with recipes passed down through the generations. We are even influenced by flavors from Asia Minor! It is a place to eat well (large portions) and admire the best view of Pigadia bay. Come join us!
